Looking for your cousin?

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw another scorpion in the back yard. At first, it looked like a leaf but I’ve trained myself to study every dirt pile,  leaf, and stick in the back yard. This one looked just like some dried things that fall off the shrubs on the back hill… or ARE they dried things that fall off the shrubs? I used to go outside with my camera – now I go out with a magnifying glass! Seriously. And that scarf around my neck is not about fashion. I always think something’s crawling on my neck. This is no way to live!!!

Leave the corpse there as a warning to others.

I have your solution!! Move to PA! No scorpions, no big ass spiders that make your skin crawl, no earthquakes! But we do have “mangy, rat-faced, no-good, low-life, beady-eyed, scum-sucking, tomato-stealing squirrels” Anyway, stay safe my friend!!

I hope all is well and you are getting alot accomplished! Can’t wait for your new cookbook! BTW, Riley is now 4 months old, he went from 26 lbs last month to 47 lbs in one month. He is not fat at all, he is just growing into his legs!! He is so adorable!!
    Take Care JJ!! 🙂

    Love, Sue

Geez, it’s scary seeing that thing close up. I’m glad you’re taking caution and doing a bit of inspection in your yard when you go out…
    You’re right, it’s no way to live…
    Please be careful, Jenny…
