Jenny I would like to make a white wheat bread . I thought you had a white bread flour recipe with a small amount of whole wheat flour in it ? Do you have a recipe for that? Thanks in advance.

I recently made your 4 Hour No knead bread and also 2 Hour fastest No knead bread. The 4 hour came out golden, however it was very heavy and when you cut a slice it was damp, not dry.
Yesterday, I made the 2 Hour No knead bread and aerated the flour just to make sure that I had the right measurements. Well, the bread was golden, heavy and just like the first one.
I need some help, what am I doing wrong. I am really upset that both came out the same way.

  17. Bill Tarnopol says:

You have a wonderful “Zip” bread, the distinction appears to only be hot water, and it is ready to go at an accelerated pace.

I want to do that with a regular Challah dough and speed the process. Will it do with a regular recipe but hot water? Tomorrow is Friday; so I need your answer quickest if I’m to have it for supper tomorrow. What do you think; can I speed the Challah the same as you’ve hurried the white bread?

hope to bake your everyday cookies to take on a bus trip for two days for some 35 people

    how best to package

how many days ahead can i make them and how to store

    • Jenny says:

I have kept mine for 2-3 weeks, usually refrigerated but they will be fine on a 2-day bus trip. Since they are crispy, they are easy to pack and don’t need to be separated with wax paper, etc. The only risk is they can break so pack them tightly so they don’t bounce around. Stacking them might be good, and then wrap in foil packets.

My daughter Jennie made your fall off the bone ribs for us and they are absolutely the best ribs we have eaten! So tender. This is our recipe for ribs from now on. Thanks for sharing.

    Aloha Jenny,
Few months back I found you looking up bread. Your video was so warm and funny, I knew your food would have the same effect.
My wife is battling cancer and doing well. When I made your bread, the smell had her wanting to eat, which was hard to get her to do because of the meds.
Mahalo Jenny, you have no idea how grateful I am, especially since I hate baking?

I am so happy I accidentally discovered your cooking shows. I had no idea it was you because in the past I didn’t watch talk shows but I must have seen some of you because I recognized your name and looked you up online. A great progression…onto another chapter of a full life. There’s something comforting about still seeing you out there….a past celebrity memory but a presence still, in this world of flavors of the month. I enjoy how real your video shows appear in your kitchen; they are natural, not overly orchestrated, and thank goodness there is no clapping audience. It’s like I’m in your kitchen learning how to cook or bake something. It works because you like food, you want to share, you aren’t selling me something (although I’d consider a monthly subscription if you needed to go that route), and you have some funny moments. Bravo!

  28. Alison says:

I just started using your recipes when I found on YouTube and I absolutely love them!!! I’m 73 years old and I’ve done a lot of cooking in my lifetime (married for 50 years to the same wonderful man , 4 children, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grand children, and they all love to eat! ). And I still like to cook ! I really like the old-time recipes without a lot of fancy stuff . My family has never complained about my meat loaf, but they RAVED about yours ! They all come once a week for dinner, I can’t wait to serve them your cabbage rolls next week. Your recipes are real easy to follow and I love the way you present them. I’m so glad I found you on YouTube. YOU ARE A TRUE BLESSING !!!

  35. Sister Dearest says:

Looks like my roadkill cookbook will finally get some recognition. When can I start sending you some of my favorites: procupine pate, pressed squirrel, coon under glass and my favorite: aromatic skunk! Yes!!!

Congrats on your new website. I love it. I surfed around on it last night and I find it pretty awesome. It only makes sense to have a site for just cooking because you are always doing it and you are going to run out of room on this site
eventually…lol…j/k…but seriously, if you want fans to enjoy your recipes it’s a good idea making it easy for them to find them and what do you guys do? Make a cooking site. I’m glad you are still posting here too, Jenny. I love this blog as well πŸ˜€
Oh and I think it’s great you have added a feature for your recipes to Twitter and Pinterest on your new website. Expanding is a good thing for your recipes to be noticed more πŸ˜‰

Jenny congrats on the new website I’m sure you will have a lot of fun with it, sharing your love of food and your recipes. This year, my new years resolution was to get out of my comfort zone and experiment with making new foods. So far, once a week I have been making new things. It not only builds my internal recipe box, but it’s also so much fun.

Good luck and I look forward to visiting your new site!

  40. Becky says:
